Position Overview
As a Trolley Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to collect, transport, organize, and redistribute airport baggage trolleys across various passenger areas throughout Hong Kong International Airport.
You will work closely with supervisors and fellow operational staff to ensure trolley stations remain fully stocked throughout your assigned shift. The position involves regular walking, lifting, and moving trolleys across different airport locations while following established operational procedures and workplace safety standards.
The role requires individuals who can work efficiently in a fast-paced international airport environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Your contribution helps ensure passengers have immediate access to baggage trolleys whenever needed, supporting smooth airport operations and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
– Collect baggage trolleys from arrival halls, departure halls, immigration areas, baggage claim halls, terminal entrances, airport car parks, taxi stands, bus stations, MTR connections, and other designated collection points.
– Transport groups of baggage trolleys safely and efficiently back to designated trolley stations throughout the airport.
– Ensure all trolley bays remain adequately stocked during the entire working shift.
– Monitor trolley availability and respond promptly whenever additional trolleys are required in busy passenger areas.
– Conduct routine visual inspections to identify damaged, defective, or unsafe trolleys.
– Report damaged equipment to supervisors for maintenance or replacement.
– Separate damaged trolleys from operational units when necessary.
– Keep trolley storage areas clean, organized, and free from potential safety hazards.
– Follow all airport operational procedures and workplace health and safety regulations.
– Maintain awareness of passenger flow during peak operating hours.
– Support airport operational activities during holidays, peak travel seasons, and special events.
– Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding operational requirements and trolley availability.
– Work cooperatively with other airport service teams to maintain efficient passenger movement.
– Assist passengers with basic directions when appropriate.
– Maintain professional behaviour and excellent work standards at all times.
– Carry out additional operational duties assigned by supervisors within the scope of the position.

– Basic English communication skills are preferred.
– Knowledge of Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage but not mandatory.

10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Work Pattern:
– 5 Working Days Per Week
– 2 Rest Days Per Week
Additional overtime opportunities may be available depending on airport operational requirements, passenger volume, and staffing needs.
