JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties in assigned railway stations while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and workplace safety.

 

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

• Cleaning station platforms and passenger waiting areas.

 

• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and vacuuming station floors.

 

• Cleaning ticketing halls, customer service centres and station entrances.

 

• Maintaining cleanliness of station exits, corridors and public walkways.

 

• Cleaning escalators, elevators, staircases, handrails and glass panels.

 

• Cleaning station offices and designated staff areas when assigned.

 

• Cleaning public toilets and replenishing toilet paper, hand soap and other hygiene supplies.

 

• Emptying rubbish bins and transporting waste to designated collection points.

 

• Collecting recyclable materials according to company procedures.

 

• Removing dust from walls, windows, signage, barriers and station furniture.

 

• Sanitising frequently touched surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment.

 

• Using approved cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.

 

• Inspecting assigned work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently achieved.

 

• Reporting damaged equipment, maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.

 

• Following all workplace safety procedures and operational guidelines.

 

• Assisting with additional cleaning assignments during peak travel periods or special events.

 

• Cooperating with supervisors and colleagues to complete all assigned duties efficiently.

 

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and personal attributes:

 

• No previous experience required.

 

• Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.

 

• Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning duties.

 

• Able to stand, walk and carry out cleaning tasks for extended periods.

 

• Willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.

 

• Responsible, punctual and dependable.
